About Our Birds

Our doves are much loved and very well cared for birds. Also known as the rock dove, we use pure white homing pigeons, all of which are members of the "dove" family. They are bred to develop the homing ability so they can safely return home when released. Many hours have gone into training our birds to return home and only trained doves are released. Our doves fly freely for hours every day and happily return to their loft. The health and care of our doves is very important to us! We ask that you do not try to release doves purchased from the pet store. These doves are ring-neck doves and do not possess the homing instinct of a homing pigeon and would quickly perish in the wild.
